Ivan, My Excuse for MIA
Woke up on Saturday morning with absolutely no plan for the day. Then I decided to blog trot and found out Ivans party was on that day after all. cool! called up T and we decided would hook up and go together like the sisters everybody thinks we are. Anyway, I even had a costume in mind and made T absolutely jealous coz she had nada.

What started out as an innocent lunch date with my friend Rowe turned into a party hoping spree. I swear I had the most loyal intensions to bloggers but couldnt resist going to Charlies party and my friend Jessies as well. some pics to prove it....

I swear Im in that pic if you can see next to Julianas rack.

Ok now my machine is acting up, will post more picks later

The Joy of Orchids

listenning to: away from the sun (3 doors down)

Mood: seriously praying tomorrow is a holiday.........Please, let it be a holida

I had absolutely no plans for the independence holiday so I decided to call up my dear pal Claudio because I knew he could always come up with something plus well I hadnt seen him in a long while. I woke up in the morning craving his cooking and trust me no chef at any Italian restaurant I know around town cooks better than Claudio. He picks up the call and scolds me for pulling a disappearing act on him, after ernestly apologising, he decided diner was a good idea and his wife would call to confirm the time.

About 30 minutes later, Mrs C calls excitedly, she loves entertaining and wanted to show off her garden as always. Her zest for life always amazes me and anyone recovering from cancer ought to join her support group if she has one.

I figured my friend Rowena would enjoy this as well and besides I needed a ride out of the depth of Muyenga. when we got there, our gracious hosts hadnt even gone shopping for the diner. So we took a camera and went talking to Orchids. Now Mrs C thinks looking at a blooming orchid a whole sexual experience. So she says stuff like,

"Look at the way the tongue caresses the lip...." all this puntuated with a not so subtle moan.

She had the most amazing collection of orchids I have ever seen in any home.I will make it a point to post the pics as soon as Rowena sends them to me and you can be the judge of that.

We had diner later outside in the garden and I swear i could almost hear the plant talk back. It was the most relaxing evening I had had in a long time. And I leant how to make pork Mongolian style and of course pesto. My meals in minutes will never be the same again.

The rest of the week pretty much sucked but I drift off into that garden when the pressures mount.

BHH
So my curiosity did get the best of me right, blame in Sage for all the flack he gave it or the numerous bloggers who defended it. Well Kissyfur did show up at BHH. Mostly because I was going for rock night and needed to buy time before that and it sounded like a good idea. So yeah, I bribed Tandra with a Tyler Perry movie simply because I desperately needed to have somebody there that I atleast knew.
When i first arrived, I had to meet a couple of friends before so I ventured to another table but instantly recognised the bloogers. Rev gave them away with his dreadlocks and Ivan too from his pictures. eventually Tandra and I made our way to the table and promptly introduced ourselves. we received a warm and very friendly handshakes and I sat next to Rev, who I must say seems way younger than I expected, way, way younger. If they told he was 15yrs old I would readily believe it. He wasnt too thrilled about the age thing though so I will let it go.
Heaven seems like a really sweet gal, the genuine kind (unlike dee) hehehe, Im just playing!
you are sweet too Dee. And I met Carlo and her dotting boyfriend Dante, they look good together I must say.
Baz, we spoke. I cant say I heard anything he said though, could barely hear him. That suprised me, kinda expected him to be loud and obnoxious. And he gave me this book to read, was kinda skeptical at first but then I decided to give it a short. Hillarious I must say, I loved the book Baz.
And we met Lilly, I think that was her name, we all kinda suspected that she was the Kenyan chick though she vehemently denied it. I later got to know her a little more at Steakout.

Final Verdict: Really just a bunch of people out to have interesting conversation and drink soda. On charges of Absurdity, defendants are definately not guilty.
On charges of worshipping false Godesses, well.......didnt like the way Rev. kept mentioning boobs too, Ivan is a witness.

All very delightful people.
