Of Nuptials and Last Names
To adopt or Not to adopt his Last name? That is the question.

Remember Judith Nagawa Turnbull? Whatever happened to her? anyway she is the sole inspiration for this posting. Rumour has it things turned sour for her after the name change and I wonder whether she reverted to Plain 'ol Judith Nagawa.
Then more recently, is Patricia Okoed Bukumunhe. I guess its more noticeable for news anchors as there names change right before our ears...eyes...whatever.

Anyway, Iam simply trying to decifer the wisdom of this considering how Rocky marriage can be. Traditionally women just dropped their maiden names in preference for the spouse' last name. The retro trend however, exposes women trying to be more sleek. yeah, come in the new fad of hyphenated names. Like if i tied the knot with Michael Scoffield, I would be Apiyo oweka-Laboke-Scoffield. Quite a mouthful, gosh!

I couldnt help but over hear my workmates delving into the new spanish soap that replaced the other Woman thingy. anyway its just gave me another thought, you know how in those soaps nobody goes by a single name. So when some one beckons its like...."hey Christian de la Fuente, is it ok if i rubbed scented oil all over your abs?" (he is a total hottie by the way).
If we adhered by the same norm, things would be a little crazy.

So if you are the name grabbing kind, it would be wise to marry someone whose name blends with yours. I on the other hand dont need anymore.

Names! Dont they irritate especially when the marriage goes sour? I say to y'all ladies out there stick to your names if the guys grabs another woman just drop his name like a hot cake? What say yah? By the way you name would be unique when you add on your hubby's.
